On our very first Doggie Dates stall we were having a crazy and fun time setting up, slightly oblivious to all the noise we were making. When one of our helpers had a massive stack down the hill, (we won’t name her but she does own whippets), landing on the container she was carrying and sending stock flying everywhere much to our amusement (and creating a fair bit of noise from our group), I suddenly became aware of the highly organised stall next to us. And then became incredibly apologetic. This was the beginning of our beautiful and new friendship with Trueeco, Dimi and Rod. That day they handed out their amazing products to every stall and when a foster dog peed on almost every table cover we had we got to test their products. They truly work. We had so much fun with them that day and were lucky enough to be at another event with them recently. They have stepped in and helped out personally when I have helped someone out in an act of kindness and they have trusted us enough to use our business skills. I am the first to admit I can be a cynic with regards to trialling new products but I really like what they stand for and their products – and their AMAZING prices.

How did Trueeco start?
TRUEECO started when we visited New Zealand and I personally saw the impact these products made on people. My business partner and husband had been providing eco-friendly products to businesses for a number of years and had travelled overseas and had been telling me for years we should both focus on providing the homes with a safer way to clean. So in May 2018 we decided to develop the domestic side of the business. We have not looked back and are excited to share the gift of safe cleaning.
What are you passionate about?
We are passionate about helping. We believe we all have the ability to change the world in a positive way. Our aim is through TRUEECO and the soon to be TRUEECO WARRIOR FOUNDATION we will be in a position to help as many people and organisations as we can. From Dog rescues, homeless shelters and the environment. We will strive to help as much as we can.
Where are your dreams for Trueeco for the future?
Our dream is have a TRUEECO bottle in every home. We would love to help reduce, reuse and recycle single use plastic bottles. And at the same time help people choose a safer way to clean.
What are your interests besides safe cleaning?
We love travelling. We would like to see as much of this amazing world as we can. From beaches to cities and everything in between. Our kids have had so many great moments in Fiji, Bali, Chile and Greece. Everytime they see at a plane they ask, “Mumma, can we go on a holiday?”
Tell us something interesting about yourselves!
I (Dimitria) had been a secondary school teacher. I decided to stop teaching to pursue my passion. And that is to not only to help others but to show my children that anything is possible. My husband (Rod) has lost 40kg in the past year or so. It actually took him 6 months to do it. Once he sets his mind on something be accomplishes it. I have come to realise over the years, when Rod says he will be do something no matter how impossible it might seem, he some how finds a way to do it.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I see myself with a smile, walking along the beach reminiscing on what an amazing adventure we had. The good times and the bad. Just being grateful we had an opportunity to do it our way. To live life for a purpose greater than ourselves. And knowing, the best is yet to come.
